Getaway

Getaway the houseboat has been owned by the one couple for over 25 years. They have loved their holiday home, and you can feel this when you walk onboard. They have made many great memories from the wonderful times spent with family and friends. Now it is time to write the next chapter in their lives and they are offering the opportunity for another couple or young family to begin the journey on magical Lake Eildon.

Getaway was out of the water in late 2023 with the monohull sandblasted and painted. A new duckboard was fitted at this time. The motor leg was fully serviced. A new GMW Compulsory Houseboat Inspection Report was signed off.

Walking on board Getaway you step down into a very comfortable front lounge with two couches, coffee table and a dining setting seating four. One of the couches can fold out for a double bed for when you have extras for the weekend.

The kitchen presents quiet well with a great view out over the Lake; then has good bench space, sink, oven, grill & cooktop, microwave oven and a Norcold gas powered fridge/freezer. A feature is the Dumb-Waiter to send food and drinks upstairs.

Getaway has two bedrooms with the main bedroom having a double walkaround bed with side drawers and underbed storage. There is a well appointed bathroom servicing the houseboat.

The rear deck has been enclosed with glass windows and doors to provide all year round use. The duckboard with water stairs was newly installed in 2023. The internal stairs take you to a spacious first storey level. This area has a Targa with aluminium roof and a full set of clear plastic screens which are in very good condition. Enjoy a BBQ sitting around the outdoor dining setting or sit back and take in the sunshine and the magnificent views.

Getaway is powered by a marinized Holden Ecotech V6 motor with a Volvo Leg. The motor has an alternator to top up the house batteries if required. The house batteries are a Lithium-Ion Battery Pack x 8 with an 3000watt Inverter and fed by 3 Solar Panels.

Getaway as an entry level houseboat is very well presented and would suit a young family or a couple wanting to begin the journey on magical Lake Eildon.

Getaway is suitable to be transported off Lake Eildon to another waterway. If this option interests you, you can deduct around $150,000.00 from the Asking Price as the owner would sell the GMW Lake Eildon Houseboat License separately.
