It doesn’t matter if it is a rostered day off, a Long Weekend, School Holidays or you just need a day off to get away from the hustle, bustle, and traffic of Melbourne; it is time to head to your Happy Place at magical Lake Eildon to enjoy the peace and serenity on your holiday home on the water, ideally named Dayz Off.
Dayz Off was originally built in the 1970’s; had a major refurbishment in 2009; however, she has undergone another significant refurbishment and upgrade in 2022.
In 2022 the major refurbishment was the addition of the first storey level. The work was undertaken by the Houseboat Factory (Raaymakers), so you know it is quality work (you only have to inspect it to know it was a quality job). A new Centre Pontoon was added to carry the extra weight; she sits very well in the water. The other pontoons were serviced at this time.
Along with the new first storey level, internal stairs were installed; a new rear deck and duckboard; and a new 1,000lt black water tank was installed.
The motor has been upgraded to a Mercury 75hp Outboard Motor with Big Foot. When taking the photos, the motor certainly had plenty of power to move the houseboat along.
The Solar Electrics have been upgraded with the addition of 5 Lithium Batteries (3 x 100amphr & 2 x 200amphr); a new 3000watt Inverter; 5 new Solar Panels and 2 new Rover Smart Solar Charge Controllers.
With all these additions Dayz Off offers a great holiday home with side kitchen and rear lounge; There are four really good-sized bedrooms serviced by a full bathroom and second toilet upstairs. Look at the photos and imagine waking up to these magical views.
You will not need much of an excuse to take a day off and head to your happy place to spend time on your great family holiday home, “Dayz Off”.
